Frequently Asked Questions
The pages are not displaying for me at all, what should I do?
Some older plug-ins and browsers will not work with our viewers. You will need to ensure your browser and any required plug-ins are up-to-date. Dependant on your browser, follow the process below.

If you currently have Internet Explorer 7 or 8:

You do not need to upgrade your browser, however you still need to ensure that you have the current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

If you currently have Internet Explorer 6 or below:

First, Click here to update Internet Explorer.

After installing Internet Explorer, click here to download the current version of the Adobe Acrobate Reader plug-in.

When attempting to view pages using Firefox, I am asked to download a PDF. How can I view pages in the browser?
Unfortunately, Adobe Acrobat Reader is not currently supported for Firefox. This means that Firefox cannot natively view PDF files inside a browser window. You may view the PDF files inside a browser window by using a browser which supports Adobe Acrobat Reader, such as Internet Explorer or Safari. If using Internet Explorer or Safari, you will need to ensure that the Adobe Reader plugin is installed and properly configured to allow viewing PDFs in your browser.

The pages are difficult to read on the home page, can I make them bigger?
Yes. First, maximize your browser window. Second, from the home page click on "View Page Fullscreen." This will allow you to navigate an edition at the maximum size allowed by your monitor.

How can I find an edition by date?
At the top of the Home page, click on "Archive." Then, click on the desired year in the secondary navigation bar below the search field. This will show you all editions available for that year. Clicking on a corresponding "Edition" link will take you to the front page of that edition.

Why do searches for 3-letter words yield no results?
Due to the amount of text in our archive, we use text indexing. The minimum search term length for this type of search is 4 characters. Please try searching using a larger search term.
